Each week we will be showcasing some of our finest local artists. These are what are considered the famous amongst us, the top most recognized artists in Spokane.  The artists who have spent the last 30 or so years developing their signature artworks that are collected all over the United States. Unlike those that blow their horns ablaze with self adulation, visible only because of their bravado, these artists perform their art-craft steadily and faithfully without fanfare yet their artworks are aglow with amazing skill and thoughtful imagery. Spokane has many quiet but famous artists. Each have at least a few pieces with collectors locally, but mostly their collectors range far and wide. These are the full time artists of Spokane.

Why have we chosen Kathleen Cavender as our first showcase? First off when I moved to Spokane there were two artists I knew I would have to search out and meet.
