“Confessions of a Yellow Pages User”: This article from www.searchengineland.com (May 16, 2011) provides welcome testimony from a self-proclaimed “cutting edge on-line guy” who had to admit that his print yellow page directory “saved him” in a plumbing emergency. This writer (Andrew Shotland) gives some other examples of where print is a very impactful medium for certain industries, and how print directories are made for emergency services. While his “factoids” are not referenced (we cannot point to them as fact) – we certainly can rely on his personal experience as a fact! Print dead? Not on your life.
