Imprezzio Offers Rewarding Careers

What’s fun about your work? Seriously.

  • A: Nothing–that’s why they call it work.
  • B: A small percentage of my daily tasks.
  • C: A large percentage of my daily tasks.

If you picked A or B, you can do better. I have been in the workforce for a long time, and I have worked for a variety of companies in a plethora of roles including:

  • staff reporting for weekly newspapers
  • teaching the GED in jail
  • waitressing
  • fielding…

Begger's can't be Choosers 2: Free Will Strikes Back

Once again I was roaming the Jobs List on Craigslist... at this point mostly for posterity. I've been forced to come to the realization that engineering firms are simply not interested in dealing with this mess of a drafting pool. Though I've noted that some bloggers are beginning to suggest that companies are intentionally avoiding hiring the unemployed, the idea being that hiring the unemployed is in fact Social Darwinism, in effect the lame and wounded lion will hurt the pride so…

Help Needed for Biodiesel Project

This is Greg O'Neill in Spokane.  I've been asked by Marty Aquino, CEO, a href="http://www.carbonwolf.com%3E">www.carbonwolf.com>; in Seattle, to find at least $200K from a local area investor, to show his group's investors that I have gained some support for my a href="http://www.whitetigerfarm.com%3E">www.whitetigerfarm.com>; algae/plant biomass to biofuels project. What is even more interesting to me…

Is the Internet to Blame for the Unemployment Rate?

The U.S. unemployment rate for August is 9.6 and it's not getting any better.

But jobs are not becoming more scarce. If anything, the last decade has shown a transformation on the types of jobs available on the market. Did you know some web companies will actually pay an individual 70k/year to find different colors on layouts for a site? Or what about being paid 140k to blog and tweet online for American…

The recession takes it's toll on Spokane and me

As most of you who follow me on twitter know my social media marketing position was eliminated along with my employment at a local Internet based company. An HR consultant decided that my position was not providing enough immediate return to justify my continued employment. That is part of social media though, while it does not cost much more than a salary it is a long-term investment.

If your company is thinking about getting involved with… Continue
