Time and Space

In a weekly phone meeting with my dearest friends, this last week we talked about the chapter Waste No Time in Sonia Choquette’s book Soul Lessons and Soul Purpose.

What I realized is I have been busier than I would have liked the last few years and I am like a mother bear protecting her cub around my time. She says if you “squander your time” basically you hold yourself back and others too!

I loved that she said, “do not waste other people’s time either. It is emotionally…

Sentence Stems for the New Year!

With the freshness of the New Year, many of us are making positive changes.  Here is  writing tool for making changes called Sentence Stems. The best way to do this is to find a notebook or journal and a fast writing pen.  There are two ways to use these stems. One is to just complete the sentence as fast as you can without thinking. The second way is to complete the sentence and then journal for 20 minutes. When you journal for 20 minutes you can…

Scheduling with Disorganized Friends

Have you ever been listening to a friend and thought "Can she even hear herself?"  We all have patterns of communication, and behavior for that matter, that we can’t see.  I remember one day my daughter said to me, "Mom, you've said that before, several times." Since then, I have been working on being aware and not repeating myself. Repeating can happen for several reasons. You can have memory problems, a brain injury or other medical conditions. It can also be a lack of self-awareness or a…

Just A Couple Of Moms

I was recently asked how and why I have taken on the task of creating a catering company. I thought that I would take this opportunity to answer that question. I have spent the majority of my life pursuing many dreams. I began my adult life as an actress. I worked in and around Los Angeles with moderate success until I realized that I wanted more from life. Consequently, I went back to school and became a rehab nurse and eventually a Neurosurgical Nurse Practitioner. I have spent the last… Continue

Make-a-Friend Monday

Ok, here's what I've been noticing:

On Facebook, it's easy to add friends because you probably already know them in your personal life. Asking your coworker or your cousin to be friends is logical, but it really doesn't grow your network in a real significant way. This site, however, offers an excellent opportunity to grow your professional network to include people you may have never met. Even so, the people who use this site are some of the most likely candidates to help you achieve… Continue

Reason Season or a Lifetime

Kitara McClure posted something on FB

It's funny how people enter your life, you don't know where they came from but your glad they came.

It reminded me of this poem - I am so thankful & blessed for all my reasons, season & lifetime friends!

People come into your life for

a Reason

a Season

or a Lifetime.…

Lady??? Maybe??? -- By: Shelley Ann Ruddell

For those of you who are not familiar with Veronica Evans, she is a fascinating character. She attends Spokane Falls Community College and is in the Photography program. During your first encounter with Ms. Evans, she can seem very straight forward and direct, but loving nonetheless (when you get to know her). She is an intensely passionate person and a woman with a purpose. Driven is an understatement for the… Continue
