Probiotics are essentially the opposite of antibiotics and are often referred to as friendly or beneficial bacteria.

700 Attend Governor's Life Sciences Summit/WBBA Annual Meeting

Yesterday, my Health Sciences & Service Board Chair, Nancy Isserlis, and I attended the Governor's Life Sciences Summit and WBBA Annual Meeting at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. Some 700 people attended, which confirms for me that this is clearly a growing industry. At each of these events we served food, so an accurate head count was critical. As with each event we host, 24 hours prior I had to start guessing at how many guests I thought we'd have.

Now, this isn't an attempt to make anyone feel guilty or to call anyone out on a lack of RSVP. I'm guilty of it myself after all. What I…

It's recommended that we eat 6-10 fruits and vegetables a day. Here in the States it is reported the actual average of fruits and veggies eaten each day is just 2.

Yup, just 2.

Now, I don't know where you stand on this, but overall, it really is a sad state of nutritional affairs.

But do not despair! It's not that tough to get more fruits and veggies in each day.

Here are some super simple tips to get you started:
