I do believe it's possible, and I believe the best way to teach it is to demonstrate it. I believe that it is our responsibility to care for others and in doing so we will have all that we need. Those that reach the top by stepping on others sacrifi…

Michael, A service-focused employee profile is a very interesting topic, would you mind sharing a little bit of how you define that behavior or character traits? Also what role do you believe motivation plays in that characterization?

The Three-Minute Rule

The Three-Minute Rule is an excerpt from Anthony Tjan's blog written for the HBR. He is CEO, Managing Partner, and Founder of the venture capital firm Cue Ball. He is recognized as a true business builder.

I challenge you to read the below, take a minute to try what it recommends, and comment to the group with what insight, if any, you gained. Share your thoughts......

What Leadership Style Are You?

Daniel Goleman, best-selling author and internationally known psychologist discussed leadership in terms of 6 styles used to motivate others. Although these may not be all-inclusive, I believe we can all see ourselves or characteristics of ourselves within these styles.

Read the below and see which style stirs something inside of you:

Visionary - This style is most appropriate when an organization needs a new direction. Its goal is to move people towards a new set of shared dreams. "Visionary… Continue

Travis, great to chat with you this morning. I like the leadership info, we are working on building a servant based, business-technology model within both programs: TEConnections\TECcorps. Great to have some experts in the field. I'm piloting a leadership book with some of our students...True North by Bill George.

We are currently looking for arts & international busineses that might be interested in moving to the Spokane International District. There are currently some affordable spaces for lease and sale and are hoping to get some new businesses in that will build on the momentum that is currently going on in the area. We have a very supportive business association and lots of people excited about creating a vibrant community along E. Sprague.
