As an ad writer, my job is to help businesses tell their stories in a way that engages the listener, reader, or viewer's imagination. Thanks, Rod. It will be interesting to hear how Karsten sounds as time goes by and how long he'll stay interested in voice work. He is a natural performer in the best sense.
My background is all of the above - theater, radio, voice work. My undergraduate degree was in Theatre with an emphasis in Voice and Oral Interpretation. I toured the NW as half of the storytelling duo, Tellers Two, and spent 10 years in broadcasting as DJ and News Anchor. I've been doing voice work for over 15 years now.
I'm finally getting my act together on LPINW. I've been a part of the social networking group VoiceOver Universe for a while, and I'm on the roster at SunSpots Productions back east. Truthfully, most of my work has been out of market over the last couple of years, but there are so many more uses for a good voice than TV and radio. I'd like to connect with more people in the Inland NW. I've lived in Spokane since 1989, graduated from Whitworth, married a native, had 2 little natives - Spokane is definitely home.
KRPL's going back much farther than I care to remember! Name's Mike Scaife...haven't seen him since I left Moscow in 1982. Thanks for the kind words...and I'm glad to see that you're keeping Whitman County safe!
