Spokane Area Blogs Get Together at LaunchPad Training Center

LaunchPad is hosting a Spokane Area Blogs group meeting this Thursday, August 18th from 10:00 AM to noon. Spokane Grapevine's own Monte Tareski will present his best practices on blogging. There will also be time to network with other Spokane bloggers. The event will be held at the LaunchPad Training Center (120 N Stevens). - I started on the science track and have something like 1/3 of a biology degree from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. After relocating to Spokane, via Maryland and Washington DC, I graduated from EWU in '98 with a double degree in journalism and sociology. Since then I've participated in countless writing workshops and seminars, news focused or of the more creative writing kind.

I'm relaunching my activities here, so help me catch up; what have you all been up to?

Dan Grady said… - Pia, We have several groups outside of Launchpad and multiple communities inside of Launchpad that will be represented on the diversity/international potluck planning team. I would like to personally invite you to join the team as you are probably the only one of us who has actually been to a community-wide potluck. I have a great wish that is happening on Sunday in Omak. Who at the paper would I send a press release to? This is for a little guy that has a brain tumor. His wish is to do a shopping spree at Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart there has gone above and beyond to make the day special for this young man. Thanks for your input as to who to direct it to!
