Have you wanted to write and publish a book... but not sure how to go about it?

Writers, consultants, entrepreneurs, professionals, and executives want to do just that. And with good reason....Getting published offers many benefits such as establishing yourself as a recognized authority in your industry, enhances credibility and greater visibility, and leads to advances and royalties. All of which can help build your business, create a heavy demand for your products and services, increase your sales, and put more money in your pocket. If your goal has been to write and…See More

Hi David,

Looks like you have led an interesting life which shares many of my interests.  I am working on a response to your "honesty in advertising letter." I may never complete it so am doing this short version. It raises so many good points for discussion I just can not get it into a small package.  I agree with your basic supposition.  Advertising should be honest. However, I want government, trial lawyers and Victim Industry people out of my face and business as much as possible.  I think much of your post presents remedies which would vastly increase the presence of all of these groups in our lives.  These entities wreak far more havoc on John Q than does mild shading of truth in advertising and they produce far less good for society in the process.  Outright fraud and criminal (as opposed to illegal which is often not criminal--see another topic right there.) action is clearly another story and is to be cursed, spat upon and persecuted whenever it occurs.

Am I an anarchist? Absolutely not.  I do believe in personal responsibility, limited government that provides a framework and environment where we can all prosper-business and non business alike.  After-all we businessmen and women are also members of John Q and suffer the same maladies as the man and woman on the street, which we are.   Dave Atherton

David, My Wallup came out in Camping World this week and Walmart requested a sample. I had a previous discussion where you commented on ideas to receive media attention. Do you hire out as a consult or just have a smackbang idea I might be interested in? Want a free lunch or dinner at your favorite place? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Hello David,

I read your comments on the entrepreneurs & small business community in response to Chuck Teegarden's discussion. I would enjoy talking with you as I think you have a very practical way of seeing how things work.
