The Avista Foundation has given us a matching grant to automate our heavy glass double doors so that our blind and visually impaired clients, and their service dogs can enter and exit the building safely and without worry of the doors pre-maturely closing on them or their service animals. Lilac Services for the Blind is pleased to annouce that we have been awarded an $11,000 matching grant for new computers from The Gibney Family Foundation. We have matched 100% of this grant due to your generoisty and commitment to our community. These funds were to used to buy new computers with the new Windows 7 operating system. All of our computers were out dated and some are over 10 yers old.

Lilac Services for the Blind was luckily enough to have Academy Award-winning actress Patty Duke film five PSA video's.
