Barb Chamberlain commented on Barb Chamberlain's blog post 'Twitter 101: Getting Started'Everything I do involves believing passionately in something, advocating for it, and trying to move you to action as a result of my efforts.
As Director of Communications and Public Affairs at WSU Spokane, I represent the university and work on economic development, government relations, and community initiatives and priorities. I lead an outstanding team of professional communicators to communicate what WSU is doing to build America's next great health science center at our growing campus on the east end of downtown, in the heart of the University District.
I founded Bike Style Spokane, a blog and associated shopping events aimed at helping women in particular overcome the obstacles to riding a bike for everyday transportation and for fun while still looking good and riding comfortably. The quest for the intersection of style and comfort lives at bikestylespokane.com.
I serve on a variety of boards and work to make Spokane an even better place to live than it already is. My service currently includes Empire Health Foundation, Spokane Regional Transportation Council, Spokane Bikes (founding chair; formerly Bike to Work Spokane), and Citizens for Spokane Schools.

Jennifer Hall said… Hi Barb, it was great chatting with you at the Launchpad Live event. I do bring a little healthcare to the table. I was actually the Financial Manager for a $4 Million a year medical clinic for 11 years, before following my dream of hair and makeup. I do have a passion for healthcare though. The new Health Science Research Center is very interesting to me and to watch this new venture unfold is going to be very exciting. Cheers Jennifer
