That sounds like a good approach to your knife production. That way you can focus on the customization of the handle and be able to create more faster.
Your pens are beautiful as well as all of your other products! What a great business you have! Have you ever been to Buck Knives in Post Falls and taken a tour of their factory? It's interesting. I came really close to getting a job there designing custom knives but then after two interviews they ended "restructuring" so I didn't get it. That was okay though.
