I'm wondering what members of this community are desiring out of their membership. Since July there have only been 2 comments, and one of them was me attempting to promote my ADR seminar, and about a half dozen new discussions. Only a couple of replies total in all those discussions.

So I'm wondering what we could do to make this community of more value. Any suggestions?

If this community was deleted by LaunchPad would anybody even notice? If nobody even bothers to reply then should we just consider this a dead community.

In real estate practice Realtors who become involved in a dispute with another Realtor about a commission will have that resolved by arbitration conducted by the local Association of Realtors. It does not appear that arbitration, mediation and other services are readily available in this area for other real estate related disputes.

I wanted to personally invite each of you to attend this informative seminar. It is matter of when, not if, you will be involved in some form of dispute. How you handle that, both by preventative measures and how you respond to the dispute itself, will determine how much it will cost you to resolve. Join me for a light lunch or breakfast on 10/25 @ 8am or 10/26 @ noon. I'm not going to be selling Pre-paid legal programs or anything else at these seminars. Thank you in advance for your attendance or referrals.

Realtors,

We are developing our Real Estate Section at Spokane City Guide and would like to invite realtors that respond by August 1st to be able to post, for an entire year, an unlimited amount of homes, business, land etc. for sale or lease.

This will help Spokane City Guide to develop this particular section and will, hopefully, help you increase awraeness of your properties. This is currently a $500 value so we feel strongly that this will be a great benefit for many realtors.

Please contact me here at Launchpad or email me at info@BizSpokane.com To get an idea how your listings will look, you can view the properties currently listed at: http://bizspokane.com/pages/Spokane_real_estate

Thank You,

Barry Seward

Need current data about the local economy and local real estate activity indicators?  Need it in a format that provides historical perspective through long time series of data?

Well then, you should consider purchasing The Real Estate Report for Spokane, Kootenai, and Bonner Counties.  The Spring issue (covering data through the first quarter of 2011) was released just last week.  It is available through the Spokane Association of REALTORS (Angie Gainer at 509-326-9222).

The report is 300 pages of statistical tables and a Feature Article summarizing a Washington Center for Real Estate Research survey of recent home buyers and sellers in the State of Washington.  It is $50 for a single issue, and $75 for an annual subscription (the report is published every 6 months by a non-profit organization, the Spokane-Kootenai Real Estate Research Committee, which has published this report since 1977).

Feel free to contact me (I serve as Editor of the report) at 509-625-6321 or 509-998-9767 if you have questions about the report.

I found the discussion surrounding Yolanda's question very interesting, and I would like to ask a similar question but with a different twist. What are the implications of buying a piece of land (with a building on it) that may become subject to the purchase of the DOT? How does the negotiating/ purchasing process work? Probably a better first question is does anyone know of a detailed map of the project showing all the land they will need to purchase? The map I found on the WSDOT site pictured the entire corridor route, but gave no specifics as to addresses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
