Should a mega-brand like Coca-Cola be concerned with social media? In particular, if they like a blog post, should they spend the time and effort to respond to it? Or should they spend their time doing whatever else it is that major brands do?
That's kind of the topic of an article I posted on my blog entitled How Not To Engage In Social Media: A Personal Story. There's an interesting discussion built around the blog post, and I'd love to get your input.
The post is based on how Coca-Cola responded to a particular blog post I wrote a little over a year ago. My post was a very positive review of one of their smallest marketing efforts.
Their response, while positive in every way, was a little bit of a surprise, and a little bit of a letdown.
I'd love to get some Spokane input. Thanks.
