Allen was the winner of the Business Trustee Leadership Award at the 2009 Leadership Spokane Graduation yesterday at the Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute. I am so proud of you Allen and over the years I have seen how God has blessed you to do his work. You deserve it and so much more.
As a kid growing up mostly here in Spokane my mother (Pastor Moore), was one of the greatest servant leaders I have ever known, always giving and going out of her way to help others. When I would ask her why is she always giving, giving, and giving? She would reply, oh baby, God's going to provide for us and he always did.
It took me many years to understand this strategy, but when I got it, did I ever get it! "One of the greatest laws that you can live and believe, is the more you give... the more you receive!" When you enrich the life of someone else, God will bless you ten... a thousand fold.
It was Gandhi that said you must be the change that you want to see in the world. He didn’t say you could make in the would, he didn’t say should, or would; he said you MUST be the change. The first principle of success in making this world a better place is to make an affirmative decision to do so. If we don't make a decision to make it, then an automatic decision not to make it is the default. Jesus gave the most profound teaching on the subject of faith. In Mark 11:24, He said, “Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Allen, here's a virtual High Five to you! Thank you for being such an outstanding change agent, you are truly a blessing to our community. Thank you for being such a go-giver! May God continue to bless you richly!
