If you go to the dueling piano bar in Spokane, make sure you say Hi to the guy on the left! Oh and get there early if you want to get a seat, we've had lines to get in on Fri's and Sat's.

The weather is getting better......time to grab a friend and head out to the Lake. The Coeur d' Alene Resort offers a fun atmosphere on the lake with entertainment in the Shore Lounge. This weekend is music w Ultraglide Band, playing a great mix of music including: classic rock, country, motown, pop and alternative. There are always great drink specials and lots of fun! If you are having a birthday....be sure to mention it to the lead singer.

Greetings All:

Please mark you calendar for Saturday, April 10 at 8:30 PM. That's when my band (Crosstown Band) performs next.

The band has won multiple awards and is just a terrific group. We play rock and roll, blues, R&B - any kind of music that makes people move.

We will be at the Oasis Tavern just west of Progress on Trent. It's a friendly little tavern where you can be as relaxed as you want.

Please come see us, and let me know when you get there!

This note is just a heads-up.

My band (Crosstown) will be playing at the Oasis Tavern next Saturday (April 10). Start time is 8:30 PM. The Oasis is a funky little place just west of Sullivan on Trent. Very low key and friendly.

Our band plays rock & roll, blues, and Rhythm & Blues. We have about 150 years of professional experience between us. I think it's the best band I've ever played with, and I started playing gigs in about 1963! Please come hear is - and be prepared to be impressed. If you're connected to a charity, we are looking for the right charities to support.

Thanks!
Michael Lovas

See the best of the young bands emerging in Spokane at the 9th Annual RAWK Final Four this Saturday, March 13. Five competing rock and roll bands from area high schools will each have 30 minute set times to display their musical skills. A high quality "new" band (members are in their early 20s), Space Opera 77, will entertain during the vote counting.

This event is at the Service Station, 9315 N. Nevada. A crowd in the range of 600 people is expected, and the event is being filmed by the Spokane Skills Center.

Check out these great interviews/performances of a couple of the competing bands, podcast by www.checkitoutmusic.com:

Executive Smack (Lewis and Clark HS)

The show priced at $12 at the door. Come early, stay late - the bands are amazing, and will appreciate your support.

As the weather warms up, so does the "live" music scene. One of the first Blues Events will be on April 3 at Daley's Cheap Shots. It's near Shumate Harley Davidon on Trent. This is a terrific little bar for blues. My band is called Crosstown (Best Blues Band 2009). We will be the opening act, starting at 1:00 in the afternoon.

BTW - I came to Spokane from a highly music-rich community - Dallas, TX. After playing professionally there for about 30 years, I was surprised to find so many good musicians here in Spokane.
