I am new to LaunchPad as of September. One one of the reasons I joined is because I am looking for work opportunities either as an freelancer or if the right opportunity came up a job. Would it make any sense to have not just a job board but a Job Seeker Board? Any individuals who are seeking jobs could post their names on the board with a brief description of what they are looking for. If a company is interested then they can go the person's home page for more info. It seems to make sense to have a central location where employers could go to look for potential employees. Hopefully LaunchPad members will look here first before looking elsewhere.

Also...if anyone thinks this is a good idea...there may be people that are employed but are seeking work elsewhere because they are in a difficult job situation. Maybe it would be possible to set up an anonymous posting system if it would be harmful to have their name listed.

Getting there!  I have been putting into practice much of what I've learned (or knowledge that I've reacquainted myself with) from LaunchPad events and, more importantly, LP PEOPLE.  I'm confident that by continuing to put myself out there in ways that allow genuine, in-person connections, it will lead to my dream job some day... How about a support group?  Job searching can be a tiring and discouraging process.  perhaps a coffee group ?
