Just a heads up about my facebook page for The Tomato Lady. It is www.facebook.com/thetomatolady
I am keeping it updated as the progress on my tomatoes and peppers complete with pictures. My website will be updated shortly, as soon as I find out what germinates. This year I have over 150 varieties of tomatoes and over 45 varieties of peppers.

This is a valuable workshop! Tuesday, January 24th at the LaunchPad Training Center at 120 N. Stevens from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm.  We all have food intolerances and learning how to avoid these foods can make the difference between health and disease.  Dr. Letitia Dick, N.D. and Dr. Caryn Potenza, N.D. of Windrose Naturopathic Clinic will be instructing the class.  Please bring 2 labels from boxed or canned food that will be reviewed in class.

We'd like to invite everyone to join the fun at Saturday's Sustainable September Main Street Fair between noon-6. Main Market Co-op's parking lot will be full of wonderful information about building a strong, local food economy. Please stop by our Mighty Mustard booth to learn about cover crops, The Non-GMO Project, and our Palouse-grown PNW Co-op lentils, chickpeas & split peas. Thank you!

Trouble on the cucumber front: When I transplant my cukes I have been having a hard time with getting them to re-establish.  This happened last year as well.  I wait until the plants have 3-5 true leaves and are about 4" tall before transplanting but once I get them in the ground they look great for a day or two but then the large, established leaves start to wilt and droop.  The plants are obviously not happy but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.  Any thoughts?

We start selling tomatoes this Saturday, April the 30th at 8 am. They are looking good. The peppers on the hand not so much. To be fair their are some varieties that look ok, mother nature has not been cooperative this season. Sigh. Anyways, feel free to come by and visit us at 822 N University, near Broadway and University. I love to talk plants

Elizabeth,  I saw Kerr yesterday as well... he was speaking at 2nd Harvest's annual conference yesterday.  Great speaker!  And thanks for the tip about the greenhouse construction session... I might have to carve out a chunk of time on Saturday and go to that.
