Erin, I think that would be a great idea, but I don't know when that event is planned, or if one is planned. I had read April 13, but then saw that it had changed to a different topic. Let's ask Bill Kalivas. Thanks much for your interest!
Comment by Erin J. Peterschick on April 12, 2012 at 8:24am So, with the Legislature passing a budget and area legislators getting the Riverpoint Med Center included in that budget, are we going to have a discussion of that topic at the next Health Sciences Innovation Community event? I'd love to hear from Sen. Lisa Brown and some folks involved with this project about what they see it doing for Spokane's future.

The Institute of Translational Health Sciences is accepting proposals through March 1, 2012 for its Visiting Scholars Program. The goal of the program is to build capacity for translational science and to develop new collaborations between translational scientists at institutions in the Puget Sound area and in the WWAMI states. (One of those "W's" is for Washington, so Spokane would be eligible). The VSP supports investigators in developing scientific partnerships, accessing translational technologies and resources, and participating in educational programs & other activities that support translational research across programs, institutions and states. See ithsapps@uw.edu, or contact Laurie Hassell, Regional Liaison, Regional Collaborations program, WSU Spokane, Box 1495, Spokane, WA 99210 or 208-699-8573.
