Spokane Regional Networking, Social Media, Professional and Business Development
This is a community where people of faith can come together to build relationships and uplift one another through online conversations and monthly in person meetings. Guest speakers will be invited each month to share information about local faith based organizations and initiatives serving our local community. We encourage sharing of ideas for how we as professionals can best share our faith within the workplace.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone... I joined Launchpad back when they partnered with Washington Worksource ages ago... I was able to obtain employment just long enough to cause some real damage, and faith in the workplace was definately an issue so I'm curious to hear what you guys have to share. :)
Blessings

Comment by Daniel Wong on April 5, 2012 at 1:10am Would it be OK to mention the Annual Leadership Prayer Breakfast here? (Thursday April 26, 2012 7-9AM) in the Doubletree ballroom downtown Spokane.
Please join us in honoring our elected officials and upholding them in prayer.

Thanks to Alan Battle for joining me this morning at LaunchPad! Good time sharing with a fellow Believer. [ Follower, not a fan! ;-) ] I will be here in the LaunchPad basement every Tuesday 7 AM that I'm in town. If I'm out of town I'll post that on Friday or Monday. This will simply be one opportunity for people to gather and share for 45 min to an hour and pray before starting the work day.
I'll unlock the door on Tuesday mornings for those that don't have a key, fyi.
Ok, jumping back in after a delay. I'm going to show up at LaunchPad's member's lounge (basement) at 7 AM on Tuesday mornings and do my morning devotional time. If anyone else is available I will have Tony Dungy's Uncommon Life Daily Challenge to share a simple theme for the day. Or someone may have some verses or study materials to share. I can see small groups meeting where and when convenient and, as they prove to be consistent, people can drop in whichever location and time works for them. Just an idea, but if anyone wants to share some fellowship time on a Tuesday morning- you know where I'll be!
Comment by Karen Fournier on March 16, 2012 at 11:25am Thanks, Christopher.. my sentiments exactly.. sounds like there is consensus among at least me and you and Norm to stay downtown in the am.. LETS DO IT!so next Tues or Thursday? the others who replied didn't really give a time or date so lets just start! if they want one in the valley, maybe someone out there can put it together..
Comment by Christopher P Duffy on March 16, 2012 at 10:35am Allan, sounds like an almost inpenetrable problem in getting the meetings back on line, let's just put a date to the issue and see who shows and who doesn't. Nothing says we have to set in stone for eternity the time and date, but the less we meet the less God is working in the group (not the individual).
Why not do the third tuesday on the odd months and the third thursday on the even months? I am open to them all, my concern is not when we meet, but why we are not meeting. If you need help just ask. As for the rest of us, be praying for this to come together soon. It is obvious the enemy does not wish for us to get together because of the strength we will have, "Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
God Bless you Allen, to all others out there pray for this, pray for your leaders.
Comment by Joanne Wilkinson on March 16, 2012 at 9:17am I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this or not but maybe there could be more than one regular time and place each month since everyone has such different schedules. That way hopefully everyone should be able to make at least one meeting. And for some of us who need a lot of prayer =) we could attend more than one meeting per month! I live in the Valley so I like Norm's suggestion on the ITT location but am able to attend anywhere. Right now my schedule is pretty flexible so I could do any time.
