Thanks, June!  Would you like to come to a Job Fair here on July 28th (no charge and free parking) from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  You could speak to students about OurTownZip and get them to create a StoreFront.  What a great idea since on August 25th we are holding a reverse Job Fair where students will market themselves to prospective employers--what a great use OurTownZip would be for that date!  Please come join us on July 28th at Interface on the NW corner of Second and Stevens from 3-5 pm.  It is just what our students need--please come.  I also bribe you with Spokandy chocolate!

Hi Karen, I like your post! Good work! By the way your clients can create a free Storefront on ourtownzip.com and post their skills. One person did that and got an interview the next day. I post the Storefronts everywhere I can. Our new site is simple, fast and easy even for non technical folks.

I am one of the new Career Services Specialists at Interface College, and I am contacting you today because I may be able to help you find the right person for any openings you may have now or in the future.

Here at Interface College, we teach practical up-to-date skills.  Many students in our Computer Applications and Office Administration program are ready for a successful career in a variety of business and office positions such as software applications specialist, bookkeeper, office administrator, secretary, and office/clerical position.

Our graduates are qualified and ready to work in the following areas:

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS, OFFICE ADMINISTRATION, AND BUSINESS INFORMATION SYSTEMS

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Customer Service
  • Keyboarding and Ten Key
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Payroll
  • Quickbooks Pro
  • Business Communications, Newsletters, and Presentations
  • Effective Verbal Communication
  • Desktop Publishing
  • Computer Graphics

I am not asking you to hire any of our graduates, but rather, (since you may have an opening), consider talking to one or two of our graduates. Or offering them a practice interview would be greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in talking to one of our graduates, or just want more information, feel free to contact me personally at (509) 467-1727, (509) 868-9875, or karen@interface.edu.
