Check out this event that sounds kind of like Ignite for business start-ups: http://startupweekend.org/
Someone want to organize this for Spokane?

Intrigiuing concept Barb!
Great idea Barb. I'm friends with one of the organizers of the Vancouver, BC event, Shauna Causey. I'd be interested in bringing this to Spokane. Are you interested in helping as well Barb? Who else would be a good fit? Probably Bill.
Permalink Reply by Bill Kalivas on October 12, 2010 at 2:26pm I looked at this site, it is a good concept and I might be interested.
Permalink Reply by Sally Mildren on October 14, 2010 at 4:39pm Interesting Barb! Depending on timing, I'd be interested in being involved. Of course I'm a non-technical marketing and communications gal with intermediate graphics design skill with Adobe CS5 so if that can be of use, I'll help.
Permalink Reply by Margaret Croom on October 14, 2010 at 7:49pm I love Women 2.0 and I follow other Start Up sites too. Check out http://500starts.com. The Start Up Weekend looks fun. The issue I have with a lot of them, it they want people who have written their ideas on a napkin, so your kind of out of luck if you have already been around a little. I think I might refine myself as "Beta". :)
Permalink Reply by Malcolm Dell on September 13, 2011 at 1:15pm I just attended Start-up Weekend in Boise, September 9-11... fantastic experience. I highly recommend it. I would be willing to join a team of people to help organize the event in Spokane. However, I live in Orofino, Idaho, so would need lots of Spokane area team members.
