You might contact Terry Gobel, www.attorneyinspokane.com. He handles contracts and such and I know him personally as a competent lawyer and he would fit your category of "not the most expensive in Spokane".

Hey Pam,

 

Buying a business can be a great thing and a risky thing.  Having a good attorney does help mitigate this.  In my line of business I have worked with a lot of business attorney's from Lukins & Annis.  They are a great firm who will represent you best interest.  Chuck Teegarden (on Launch Pad) is a good contact with them.  He can help you meet an attorney to match your needs and hopefully your budget.  If not, he can probably direct you in the right direction.  You may also want to talk to your bank, or a good banker, to help look at the numbers, verify taxes, etc.  We have seen people forge numbers before when selling a business so you want to make sure they are accurate.  I hope this helps!

Have been pleased with rates and service of Wolff & Hislop for home/small business, and Lukins & Annis for litigation. I'm sure there are many other good local attorneys as well.
