I am writing to let you know of an event happening in Spokane over the next few weeks that may be of interest to you or the organization you represent. Interplayers Professional Theatre is presenting "Race" - a play that highlights some issues that you may find worthy of discussion. I am attaching the e-newsletter from Interplayers, as well as a link to a Spokesman Review article that gives you more information about the play. The play previews tonight, and the total run is March 31 - April 16.
While Interplayers is dedicated to providing quality live theatre in Spokane, we certainly cannot ignore the relevance and timing of this particular play to many in Spokane. To that end, we will have two "talk-backs" with the director and the actors, on Wednesday April 6th and Wednesday April 13th, after the show. We hope you will consider joining us!
We feel this particular play may be relevant to many groups, and we are asking you to help us get the word out. Since we are not often engaged in the political arena, we hope you will share this information with other groups as you see fit. Perhaps there are professors who may suggest the play to students, or groups who would like to attend together. Student tickets are $10, Educators are $12 and we can arrange group pricing for groups of 10 or more. We have military and senior discounts, and the regular price for adults is $22. More to the point - we want this to be a well-attended play that might serve as a jumping-off point for important discussions - so we will work with any group that is interested in attending.
I look forward to hearing back from you and am available for questions regarding the play, the theatre, the talk-backs or any other questions you may have.
Thank you for your time!
