Hello everyone!  I am working with a great program called Hope for a New Tomorrow. We have a wonderful opportunity for people to volunteer their time. Attached is a brochure explaining the program. It is a one on one adult mentoring program working with individuals as they transition from work release who truly want to change their lives and are looking for a second chance.   HNT brochure.pdf  Please consider volunteering some of your time to help one of our returning citizens to be the best neighbor, good parent and friend we know they can be!  Or if you would be willing to allow me to come into your organization/business to do a presentation about the program, I would truly appreciate it! Thanks!

OOPS! We are still working out bugs but if you tried to post a free charity or volunteer listing because of my post yesterday and weren't able to, we had a setting that was not set right..it is now. You can now go there and it is absolutely free to do so. Here is the link again:  http://bizspokane.com/pages/Spokane_volunteer_guide

Hello Friends, this is a great community! In fact, we just gave our website a face lift last week and now do something similar at Spokane City Guide..you can add your volunteer organization for free and also add a widget for volunteering on your own website! This is brand new and here is the link and I hope this helps all the great volunteer and charitable organizations in Spokane. Again, awesome community and one I'm proud to join.  http://bizspokane.com/pages/Spokane_volunteer_guide

To Cindy -

The GOAL Project takes men's dress clothing and helps men transitioning from  Department of Corrections work release back into society.

Having “street” clothes allows men to re-enter society as a member of the community.  Their clothing does not become a label indicating
their past.  By “blending in” the do not become targets for drug dealers and
other looking for a vulnerable partner.  This is incredibly helpful when they are looking for a fresh start, especially when looking for a job.

They also help women and provided a great service to Pine Lodge Corrections Center in Medical Lake before it closed.

HELP!!!! My name is Joshua Cooper, Co-Founder of DreamCatchers. We are coordinating a Private Corporate Benefit for the Specialized Needs Recreation and need business owners to attend, it is free to come! It is Wednesday, March 30th, doors open at 6:30 p.m. Already, the Coeur d'Alene Bakery by the Lake has donated 250! The local mayors will be in attendance, along with Governor Butch Otter, schedule permitting. PLEASE, email me at dreamcatchersjosh@gmail.com if you would like to attend or have connections with other business owners or persons that might want to attend, or if you think you can help the Benefit in any way. Please help support a local non-profit for individuals with Special Needs! Patty Duke was speaking until she was cast in a show, but we do have an autographed football from the Seattle Seahawks! We need the local community's help to attend this! PLEASE, We are crying out to the community for help on this!
