Melanie-

I did the Dirty Dash last year and had a blast! I've never laughed so hard during a 10k run in my life. I plan on signing up again for this year's run, too. As for training, running warrants the usual warning - don't go too far, too fast, too soon! There is plenty of time between now and the race to get in shape, so ease into it.

And remember to have fun!

After all, what other "race" has a Beer Obstacle at mile 5?

=)

We have a 1/2 marathon training guide.  You could just take all of the distances and cut them in half for a 10k training schedule.  http://www.accelerationphysicaltherapy.com/Beginner-Half-Marathon-T...

OMGosh!! I have never seen or heard of the Dirty Dash! Not sure you need to train much on running.. I would do more jumping, sliding and rinsing!! I would say to find a group doing parkour to train with. They would probably even do it with you! I might even! What a blast! I am going to contact them about being a nonprofit as one of their charities so our Moms could go and just have some fun!! Good luck!

I have committed to doing the Spokane 10K Dirty Dash. Any training advice for someone that hasn’t run in years?

...any one out there have back, neck, or shoulder pain?  Would you love to return to your normal pain free lifestyle without surgery? If so...check out the event posting for a FREE seminar hosted by Revita Rehab clinic.  Its TUES, JULY 12th from 6-7 pm and will provide information on a great new technology, which combines a variety of techniques, and is having some pretty amazing results in restoring health to people's low back, neck, and shoulders.  For more information call the clinic at 343-3150 or visit their website at www.RevitaRehab.com.  Its well worth checking out!  Just ask Bill! : )
