Permalink Reply by David Atherton on December 9, 2010 at 4:04pm This is specifically in response to Charlene Shanks but I notice several others asking the same question about work from home jobs. That is all I have done for the last 13 years. Mostly Real Estate which I do not recommend at this particular time as the guys and gals who know what they are doing are struggling at doing it. I have three other at home jobs at the moment. Gardening on a small scale commercial basis--find a niche and make it work. Mine is daylilies. Not an overnight thing. Emmrod fishing systems. (MyCompactfishing.com). I have room for dealers, but frankly the market is somewhat limited in this area and you are going to have to do a lot of weekend shows to make any money at it. Finally, the point of this response.
Pixelgigs is a program that utilizes "The Cloud" about which he hear every day. The main product line here consists of a suite of ten different programs bundled under one monthly fee: Meeting, Contact Management (Coming mid December), Email Campaign management, Web site design, Web site hosting, Employee time clock (coming soon), data storage, file sharing, email/home page/daytimer and the ability to contact your home computer remotely. There are any number of businesses you could run with the suite. Build and host websites for example. The monthly hosting fee goes in your pocket. Or, the programs can be used to build up your other businesses.
If you want to sell this product as a business, it pays generously through five levels. I signed up for the product and business. Besing somewhat of a skeptic, I have looked at a lot of toads, even kissed a few. I believe w/ this one I have found Prince(ess) charming.
As a newer company, it has been getting its sea legs established and they feel they have accomplished this. Pricing is excellent but will be going up next week; however, you could sign up for a FREE TWO WEEK TRIAL without obligation and lock in the current pricing. (Currently, just the program will cost about $230 which includes the first month, then 30 a month thereafter. Next week, the 200 goes away but the monthly cost goes up to an as of yet undisclosed amount.) I think for the long term benefit, paying the $200 now will pay benefits in the long term. To do both the business and the product costs a bit under $300 and $55 per month with the first month paid from that fee.
Whether you want a business or a great internet cloud access suite, you can not go wrong. You owe it to yourself to check it out for two weeks free than use it or dump it. Dave

It could also be entitled "The Most Difficult Job You Will Ever Have." :)
I like Bill's answer, as it isn't a reality for many due to the myriad of distractions.
