Our special guest will be social media guru Chris Pirillo!

Think you know a lot about social media? Don’t know anything? Chris Pirillo (http://chris.pirillo.com/) will talk about all things social media at LaunchPad Inland Northwest’s Social Media and Marketing Community Event, Tuesday, June 29th from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at the Bing Crosby Theater.

Chris Pirillo isn’t just one of the most followed social media bloggers on earth. He’s a social media author, CNN.com Live host, early adopter, technology enthusiast, Gnomedex host and creator of Lockergnome. With over 5 million unique live video viewers in one year and one of YouTube’s “Top 100” most subscribed channels, Pirillo is widely followed for his expertise and approachability.

At the Social Media and Marketing Community Event, Pirillo will talk about social media tools and trends, as well as share his insights on the best way to use them to share your organization’s message.

Comment by LaunchPad INW on June 30, 2010 at 9:17am: Deborah have no fear, LaunchPad INW in collaboration with a couple of partners will be announcing a new workshop starting in July that will focus on how to leverage Social Media for Small Business. We will most likely offer an Intro workshop followed up by a hands on how to workshop as well. Should be announced next week!

Comment by Deborah Di Bernardo on June 30, 2010 at 9:04am: Holy frick...if Pirillo didn't get the message across, then no one can. Using the tools available i.e. Twitter, FB, Lauchpad, etc is how the playing field becomes equitable for small independently owned local biz.
As mentioned in last nights discussion, the next step for us is a basic 'how to' for the technology challenged. Sooner than later pleeeeeze...
