Event Description

May is National Foster Care Month.

Join us! Enjoy a glass of wine (or two), do a little networking and listen to local Foster Youth share their stories of courage and the challenges of living in the foster care system.

For high school students in foster care, graduation rates vary between 32 and 44 percent, the graduation rate for all students in Washington State has ranged between 70 and 75 percent. An even smaller percentage go on to college and graduate. Many end up homeless after they turn 18 as they
“age out” of the system. There is a tremendous need for mentoring youth in foster care to support them in their education, in pursuing their dreams of attending college and in finding jobs.

Please join us for:

  • Foster Youth Presentation
  • Networking
  • No host wine bar
  • Hors d'oeuvres
  • Vendor tables
  • More....

We look forward to having a table at this event and sharing how we work to keep families together in the midst of turmoil and even with CPS to reunite the family. Thanks for the opportunity, Joanne!
