Event Description

Our Members Breakfasts recur monthly for ALL of our members. Our founding members will be available for networking and mentoring.

This month, we will be joined by Mike Taylor, Director of Engineering Services for the City of Spokane who will be speaking about an Intro to Mind Mapping. More info on Mike's StrengthsMapper here. Mike requests that all attendees bring their laptops to upload valuable info about Mind Mapping that he is making available to you.

Mike is a 35-year entrepreneur of 12 different businesses with up to $7 million in annual sales.  His businesses have included Taylor Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer, and business coach and consultant for Professional Services Management Journal (PSMJ) and P. Mike Taylor, LLC. 

AGENDA

7:30-8:30 Intro and Mind Mapping hands-on session with "Seven Steps to Create a Mind Map" using XMind, an interactive session with Mike mentoring via laptop with attendees following on their laptops.

NOTE: Mike will provide a site with a bundle of great introductory tips and templates to get you going.  He will also provide projected Beginning and Advanced Mind Mapping session announcements.

COST

Members and Guests cost is $20 at the door. Credit Cards accepted. College students with valid ID free. FREE to Paid LaunchPad members.  Please RSVP above and you do not have to member of the LP site to attend. Only if you are a non-member, RSVP to Zan Deery at zan@launchpadinw.com.

Great work Mike Taylor! Thanks for the presentation of this powerful tool. In my professional life I have to brainstorm, and when it seems like more "storm" than "brains" it's clear that mind mapping is the way to capture what's valuable, present it clearly, and preserve it in a library. I bet every absent minded professor could use the presence of mind mapping!

This was possibly my favorite topic for any LaunchPad event so far (right up there with the Mobius Science event).  I really enjoyed the concepts explored by Mr. Taylor and look forward to more of his work!
